PRP Hair Restoration

What is it?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) hair treatment is a medical procedure that involves the injection of concentrated platelets from the patient’s own blood into the scalp to stimulate hair growth. Platelets are rich in growth factors, which are proteins that promote healing and cell growth.

During a PRP hair treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn from the patient and then processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the other components of the blood. The concentrated platelets are then injected into the scalp in areas where hair growth is desired. The growth factors released by the platelets are believed to stimulate hair follicles and promote hair growth.

PRP hair treatment is commonly used to treat androgenic alopecia, also known as male or female pattern baldness. It may also be used in combination with other hair restoration techniques, such as hair transplant surgery or medication. The treatment is generally well-tolerated and has minimal downtime, although multiple treatments may be needed to achieve optimal results.
